2011 member seminar now online

CAL is pleased to announce that videos, presentations and other resources from our 2011 member seminar The future of creativity, are now available online.

We understand that it’s not possible for everyone everywhere to make it to our events, but we think CAL’s member seminars are an invaluable resource and we’d like to share the information with as many people as possible.

The 2011 seminar was held in Sydney on Wednesday 25 May, at Australian Technology Park (ATP), Eveleigh and focused on how developing technology has been impacting authors, artists and publishers.

This year we recorded the seminar and it’s now available for you to view on our website, with accompanying presentation slides and other resources that were made available at the event.

Click through to the page on our website to view the seminar.

At the seminar, we spoke about CAL surveys, websites and copyright notices, and CAL’s new way to pay members, CALdirect. Representatives from Australia Council for the Arts spoke about funding available for writers and artists and NBNCo gave an introduction to the National Broadband Network.

We finished the afternoon with a sneak peak at the results of the digital publishing survey we conducted in May, followed by a panel discussion where industry experts joined us to talk about how technology has been impacting us and what it could mean in the future.

If you have a comment to make about the seminar, please feel free to email us at communications@copyright.com.au. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
