ASA Comics & Graphic Novels Masterclass

The Australian Society of Authors (ASA) is planning a weekend-long masterclass in comics and graphic novels in November 2011. The class is for aspiring or professional comics creators, academics, novelists, illustrators, screenwriters, animators, teachers, librarians, publishers and people who just love comics and graphic novels.

Supported by CAL’s Cultural Fund, the masterclass will be held at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) over the weekend of 19 and 20 November 2011.

The class will be run by renowned comics creator Colleen Doran, who will be in Australia from the US for the first time to discuss such things as techniques, style, the process and professional life of comics and graphic novel creators.
