CAL Cultural Fund application deadlines approaching

Application deadlines for the next round of funding from CAL’s Cultural Fund and Creative Industries Career Fund are coming up in early 2011.

Creative Industries Career Fund applications should be received at CAL by 5:00pm Friday 14 January 2011. Applications are open to creators and others involved in the publishing and visual arts industries, who would like to broaden their knowledge base, skills or expertise. There is no specific application form for funding. However, you should address the points listed on the guidelines for the Creative Industries’ Career Fund (available from CAL’s website) when drafting your application, including details of the event or course you wish to attend and how it will contribute to your career..

Applications to the main CAL Cultural Fund should be received by 5:00pm Friday 28 January 2011. The priority area for funding for the Cultural Fund is ‘supporting innovation in the Australian creative industries to develop local and foreign markets for Australian works.’  If you have a project that meets the Cultural Fund’s guidelines, you are invited to forward your proposal to CAL. Your proposal should not exceed five pages, including a budget for the project.
