CAL members and staff connect in Melbourne

CAL held its first CALconnect event in Melbourne on Tuesday night, 31 May, at the Portland Hotel in the city.  Despite the chill autumn temperatures, the information and networking event was attended by a good mix of members including publishers, illustrators and authors.  The evening saw members meeting to hear some of the latest news from CAL while taking the opportunity to talk with fellow members, exchanging views and, in some cases, business cards!

Eloise Nolan, Director of Member Services, and Rosanna Arciuli, CAL’s Membership Manager, in Melbourne to conduct staff information sessions for various publishing companies, gave the group an update on the new CAL member online accounts, progress on CALdirect and pointers towards the 2011 Member Seminar content which will soon be up on CAL’s website and available to all members.

CALconnect events will happen around the country at various times throughout the year so keep a eye out for your invitation.
