Shutterbug Photography Award 2011

Photographers (some of whom will be CAL members) will be interested to know that the deadline for entries to the 2011 Shutterbug Photography Award is fast approaching, with the competition closing on 30 April.

2011 marks the fifth year of the Shutterbug Photography Award, which is open to non-professional and emerging photographers. A shortlist of 15 finalists will be drawn from all submissions, with those who make the cut in the running for a prize pool of over $10,000.

The winners will be announced at the Shutterbug Award night in Sydney on 7 June, where the 15 finalists will have their works shown on a big screen to a cinema full of photography lovers, industry guests and associated media.

Following this, their work will be published in a professionally designed hardcover book.
