Understanding the creative workforce

Researchers at Curtin University are conducting a study, Understanding the creative workforce: A study of artists and arts practice, in order to gain a clearer understanding of artists’ work and the critical role they play in society. The researchers are collaborating with artists in Perth, Vancouver (Canada) and Glasgow (Scotland) and are striving to bridge the gap between artists and policy makers.

The first step in the study is a survey that will help them develop a picture of the characteristics and economic circumstances of creative workers.  The researchers are asking Western Australian-based creators to take the time to fill out their survey.

Everyone who completes the survey will go into a draw to win a perfume bottle created by Peter Reynolds, to be drawn on 30 June.

Please note that the survey is for Western Australian-based creators only.

For further information and to download the survey, visit the Curtin University website.
