about cal · contact cal · board of directors Author and Publisher Directors of CAL – Postal Ballot 2008 2008 marks an election year for the Author and Publisher Directors of CAL. Two of the positions on CAL 's Board are directly elected by members, and since 2002 these positions have been elected via postal voting. The current Author Director (Malcolm Knox) and the current Publisher Director (Rodney Martin) will both retire at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 20 November 2008. Both Malcolm Knox and Rodney Martin are eligible for re-election in 2008. Due to changes made to CAL 's Constitution in 2007 which introduced staggered three year terms for CAL Board members, the successful candidates in 2008 will be elected until the 2012 AGM. Thereafter the term for an elected Board member will be three years only. Nominations must be made in writing and made together by any two Author Members (for the Author Director position) or two Publisher Members (for the Publisher Director position). Only Author Members may be nominated for the Author Director position and only Publisher Members may be nominated for the Publisher Director position.
