Agreement between CAL and the Commonwealth The Commonwealth Attorney General on behalf of Commonwealth departments and agencies entered into an agreement with CAL on 10 June 2003. This agreement is being extended to 30 June 2009. For a copy of the agreement please click here . Further information on the agreement and supporting documents can be found on the Commonwealth Attorney General's website.
Attorney General's Intellectual Property Principles In May 2007 the Federal Government introduced new intellectual property principles which agencies and departments falling under the Authorities and Companies Act 1997 (Cth) must adopt by 1 July 2008. These principles require that agencies and departments have procedures in place to reduce the risk of infringement of the intellectual property rights of others. The CAL agreement with Commonwealth departments and agencies assists departments and agencies with their obligations under these principles. A copy of the intellectual property principles can be found on the Commonwealth Attorney General's website.
