CAL is working to develop Australian content for the world through our innovative projects with chosen partners. We provide digital rights management for our members and enable access for all Australia (and the world).

These projects benefit users of copyright material as well as CAL's members, by creating opportunities for Australian material to be accessed online, and for the copyright owners to gain a return for their work. Over 75,000 full-text items are included in the projects listed below.

If you are an owner of copyright material and are interested in finding out about how to participate in these projects, there is more information in our Membership section.

A pay-per-view service for the first three projects was launched in February 2004.

APA-FT
Based on the Australian Public Affairs Information Service compiled by the National Library of Australia, this full-text database provides access to articles in the humanities and social sciences. Full text is available for material from 1995 onwards.

AGIS Plus Text
Based on the Attorney-General’s Information Service, this valuable online resource provides subscribers with online access to material of relevance to Australian law. Full text is available for material from 1999 onwards.

MediText
Based on the Australasian Medical Index from the National Library of Australia, this medical resource features a range of Australian material additional to and included in Medline. Full text is available for material from 1995 onwards.

ACER full-text retrieval service
From the Australian Education Index comes a pay-per-view service that allows access to articles indexed.
