Author Christobel Mattingley and illustrator Bob Graham are the Australian nominees for the International Board on Books for Young People’s (IBBY) Hans Christian Andersen Awards 2012.
The Copyright Agency members are amongst 28 authors and 31 illustrators from 33 countries who have been nominated for their important and lasting contributions to children’s literature.
A Hans Christian Andersen Award is the highest international recognition given to an author and an illustrator of children’s books. It is awarded every two years and next year’s award is to be announced at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy on Monday 19 March 2012.
