Jackie French Wins Environment Award

This week The Wilderness Society announced the winner of the 2011 Environment Award, to coincide with World Environment Day on 5 June.
The Copyright Agency congratulates member Jackie French, who won the Award for her work The Tomorrow Book. In a statement on the prize, The Wilderness Society said that ‘The Tomorrow Book is a story of ideas and hope, demonstrating possible solutions to water conservation, consumer waste, pollution and wildlife protection.’
The Wilderness Society established the Award in 1993 and to be eligible, a book should encourage children to care for the natural environment.
