Anita Heiss Wins Deadly Award


The Copyright Agency congratulates author and member Anita Heiss who won the 2011 Deadly Award for Outstanding Achievement in Literature for her work, Paris Dreaming.

 The Awards were announced at an event held at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday 27 September.

The Deadly Awards recognise the contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders make to their community and to Australian Society and are awarded in a number of categories including music, the arts, sport and community.

Anita has previously won the award for literature in 2007, 2008 and 2010 and she was nominated in 2004.
