Shortlist for Blake Poetry Prize

The NSW Writers’ Centre and the Blake Society announced the shortlist for the 2011 Blake Poetry Prize on 8 August.

The Copyright Agency congratulates the shortlisted members below.

  • Anthony Lawrence for Winging It
  • Verity Laughton for The Fox Man
  • Ron Pretty for Being So Caught Up
  • Mark Tredinnick for At Home on a Sunday Trying to Find Nothing to Do

The Prize recognises Australian poets who have explored spiritual and religious themes in a new 100-line poem. The winner receives a $5,000 prize and will be announced at the opening of the 60th Blake Prize Exhibition at the National Art School Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney on 15 September.
