  • Mark Henshaw will use his Copyright Agency Author Fellowship to complete work on his latest novel, The Missing, which is an existential thriller set both in France and Australia, about one man’s tenuous hold on his life and identity.

2015 Publisher Fellows

  • Glenda Browne (Indexer/Self-publisher) to attend American Society for Indexing and Indexing Society of Canada indexing conferences in the US and Canada; meet with the co-convenors of the IDPF EPUB Indexes Working Group and the ASI Digital Trends Task Force.
  • Naomi Gothard (Creative Director at Indigenous Translations) to attend the Digital Summit in New York City and meet with publishing industry experts to discuss Digital and Online Magazine technologies
  • Gemene Heffernan-Smith (Head of Digital Business and Development at HarperCollins Australia) to assess piracy in the publishing industry and meet with digital, DRM and piracy expects including: Digimarc, USA, BREIN, Netherlands, Excipio, Germany, SXSW Interactive, USA, Digital Book World Conference, USA.
  • Chrysoula Aiello (Children’s Editor – Ebooks Scholastic Australia) to explore the possibilities for illustrated and complex ebooks in trade publishing by attending events such as Digital Book World Conference and Expo, with session strands like Launch Kids and Tech Training.
  • Andrew Wrathall (Publishing and Digital Media Coordinator at Books+Publishing (ProQuest)) to research the changing ways that readers are consuming, engaging with and sharing book reviews published on digital media, and examine book review consumption trends in Australia and Asia, focusing on countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Japan and China, which have a high uptake of digital technologies and attend the e-Book Expo in Tokyo and Digital Book World in New York.
