Applicants must provide a clear outline of the intended project.

Your application will be assessed for its artistic merit, which includes:
- a detailed project description
- an indicative budget
- support material (see requirements below)
- suitability for ECU Gallery
Support Material
Along with your application, you must submit the following support material as a single PDF via the online SmartyGrants system:
- Draft schedule for completion of the new commission work within a twelve-month timeframe
- One-page indicative budget outlining the estimated expenses for realising a new commission
- One-page professional curriculum vitae outlining your exhibition history and significant achievements
- Examples and links to your previous work (maximum of 10 images/links)
- Ideas for working with Perth’s education community, e.g. Masterclasses, workshops (maximum of one page).
Assessment
Applications will be assessed by a panel comprised of representatives from UNSW Galleries; Edith Cowan University Gallery; Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces Inc; and the Copyright Agency.

If you have questions that are not addressed in the FAQs or in the Information Pack, please contact collections@ecu.edu.au. Due to the high volume of enquiries and applications, the Art, Culture and Collections team will respond to artists as quickly as possible.
