Research conducted by independent market research agency FiftyFive5 shows that Generative AI is already widely used in commercial workplaces and is set to expand further:
- 56% of white-collar workers use GenAI tools, with 40% of these using third-party material in prompts at least weekly
- 73% of these users are sharing outputs internally with colleagues
- 69% of users expect to increase their usage of GenAI tools in the next 12 months
- 77% of users don’t understand the terms of use of GenAI tools and licensing requirements around use of third-party material
