2021 Publishing Industry Career Development Grant

  • Brigid Mullane, an emerging publisher at Ultimo Press will develop strategies to build Australia’s literary and narrative non-fiction readership.
    Brigid is the commissioning editor at Sydney’s newest independent publisher, Ultimo Press. Utilising the safe travel zone between Australia and New Zealand, Brigid plans to attend the biannual NonfictioNOW conference in Wellington in December 2021. At this foremost gathering of non-fiction writers, teachers, readers and students, she will meet with colleagues from emerging and established publishers to discuss readership development strategies.
