Not business as usual

September 20, 2019

On Friday 20 September, three days before the UN Climate Action summit, a Global Climate Strike will take place. Millions of children around the world will take to the streets to send the message that governments need to take their future seriously.

In Australia, where we are on the frontline of climate change, students have set out a series of demands around fossil fuel projects, renewable energy and job sustainability. They’re asking politicians to take urgent and meaningful action and inviting everyone to join them.

The Copyright Agency has joined more than 2,500 Australian businesses in the Not Business As Usual alliance to support today’s action. We are encouraging our staff to attend our local rally and show our commitment to this important issue. As a result, you may experience delays when contacting us between 12pm and 2pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. The future of our planet is too important to ignore and all of us – families, workplaces and communities – require a healthy and stable climate.
