New Member Portal release responds to your feedback

April 16, 2021

We’ve released a new round of enhancements to the Member Portal in direct response to feedback received from writers, publishers, agents and visual artist members since we launched the new platform in September 2020.

The enhancements further improve overall usability and the performance of the works and payments section on the Member Portal. These upgrades also address key improvement areas identified by members through online chats, surveys and engagement with the Australian Society of Authors.

Here’s a summary of what’s changed:

For publishers, we’ve improved the way works can be viewed and updates to works can be managed. We’ve also made it easier to accept different formats of ISBNs (ISBN-10 or ISBN 13) when uploading works data.

For writer and visual artists members and their agents, we’ve redesigned the way members add and view works under the Royalty Claim and made a clear distinction between these works and works Copyright Agency finds in its own research and other data sources.

For surveyor members, we’ve extended functionality to allow the upload of plans and allow you to confirm if you are entitled to receive payments for plans before they are distributed.

For all members, the tax and deductions on your total Payments is now easier to follow, and you can interact with all graphs and charts on your Payment Dashboard.

Download release notes that explain the all of the updates in plain English.
