AGD Ministerial Roundtable on Copyright

The Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) has published a High Level Summary of the Second Roundtable on Copyright, and Issues Papers on each of the topics discussed at the Roundtable: see here. The topics were: Orphan Works; Remote Learning; and Quotation.
Copyright Agency participated in the Roundtable on each of the three topics.
The Department will convene a group of interested stakeholders for further discussion on the issue of remote learning.
It will also arrange a Roundtable on two further issues, that were identified in the initial Roundtable in February 2023 (here): implications of artificial intelligence for copyright law, and the definition of ‘broadcast’ for the purposes of the Copyright Act.
