Michele Lee Wins 2025 Griffin Award for her new play Snappy
May 29, 2025
Playwright Michele Lee has been named the winner of the 2025 Griffin Award for her new work, Snappy.
The Griffin Award, presented by the Griffin Theatre Company with support from Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund, recognises excellence in original Australian playwriting. With its focus on bold storytelling and contemporary voices, the award continues to be a launching pad for distinctive new work.
Michele’s work joins a remarkable legacy of past recipients. Snappy will now move into development with Griffin, on its way to the stage.
Congratulations also go to the talented playwrights who were shortlisted, and to the Griffin Theatre Company for another stellar celebration of Australian theatre.
