Celebrating 40 years of the Aboriginal History journal

Aboriginal History Inc. in association with the School of History at the Australian National University invites higher degree research students and early career researchers to a masterclass on writing and publishing.

The event includes a publishing masterclass in the morning, involving both Indigenous and non-Indigenous scholars, editors and writers from across Australia. This is followed by a public symposium in the afternoon which includes three roundtable discussions on the past, present and future of Aboriginal history as an interdisciplinary field and of the journal which publishes the latest work in that field.

This also includes Indigenous and non-Indigenous scholars, and is designed to encourage intergenerational knowledge exchange between writers, in many forms, of Aboriginal history. Among the speakers are professors John Maynard, Henry Reynolds, Lyndall Ryan, Peter Read and Dr Shino Konishi and Ms Frances Peters-Little. More details available here.

This event is supported by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund.
