As part of The Guildhouse Collections Project with the Botanic Gardens of South Australia, artist Michelle Kelly has developed a new body of work in response to the State Herbarium’s amazing collection of preserved species of fungi, which span decades of collecting, identifying, preserving, documenting and mapping fungi from South Australia.

Michelle’s work, consists of jewellery, sculptures and installations made using traditional metalsmithing techniques and a variety of materials.

The exhibition opens on August 13th at the Santos Museum of Economic Botany, with an introduction by guest speaker Catherine Truman, and will run until September 24th.
