Copyright Agency is dedicated to working with art centres and their artists to provide licensing services that respect both the artistic and cultural value in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander works of art.
By joining Copyright Agency with an Art Centre Membership, we can look after copyright licensing for all your artist members.
We will handle licensing requests for the use of your artists’ works and you can refer requests that you or your artists receive to our licensing department. We will negotiate copyright fees and licence terms, and put a licence agreement in place. Users in countries other than Australia and New Zealand can apply for licences from our international partners, so that your artists are protected throughout the world.
We will also arrange for the collection of any income owed to your artists under statutory education licence schemes operated by other collecting societies, such as Screenrights, and from equivalent international licensing schemes.
