National NAIDOC Week (2-9 July 2023)
National NAIDOC Week commences 2nd of July 2023 with events happening until the 9th of July 2023 in celebration and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ achievements, culture and history.
The theme this year is “For Our Elders” inspired by Bobbi Lockyer’s winning artwork in the 2023 National NAIDOC Week Poster competition.
This week also premieres with the awards ceremony showcasing the remarkable achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders coming from the various communities around Australia.
